The U.M.A.A. Application & Request Center serves as the official intake point for membership applications, registry matters, rank recognition, school and dojo affiliation, instructor credentials, replacement documents, and approved association service requests. Submissions are reviewed according to association standards, available records, leadership authorization, and the nature of the request.
All submissions are routed to the U.M.A.A. office for administrative review. Submission of an application or request does not constitute automatic approval, recognition, certification, appointment, or issuance of association documents. U.M.A.A. reserves the right to verify records, request additional documentation, approve, decline, or route matters to the appropriate association authority.

Official U.M.A.A. Fee Schedule
Membership, Certification & Association Services Fee Schedule
U.M.A.A. maintains a structured fee schedule for membership, school affiliation, credential review, rank testing, replacement credentials, and association service requests. Fees support administrative review, record maintenance, credential processing, member services, certification documentation, and official association operations.
Payment of any fee does not guarantee membership approval, rank advancement, certification, appointment, event assignment, insurance coverage, public appearance, or organizational endorsement. All applications, testing requests, credentials, referrals, and service requests remain subject to U.M.A.A. review, verification, approval, and association standards.
All fees are subject to change by U.M.A.A. leadership. Unless otherwise required by law or approved in writing by U.M.A.A., administrative, testing, review, and processing fees are non-refundable once submitted for review, testing, credential processing, or association action.
Section 1: Membership & Affiliation Fees
Section 2: Black Belt / Dan Rank Testing & Recognition Fees
Rank testing, promotion review, black belt recognition, Dan-level credential review, and certification fees are assessed by level. These fees are charged per test, review, or recognition attempt. Rank fees are not a purchase of rank. They cover testing, review, administrative processing, recordkeeping, and credential documentation.
Testing and Recognition Review: Candidates must meet U.M.A.A. standards, documentation requirements, time-in-grade expectations, skill requirements, conduct standards, and testing board or leadership approval. U.M.A.A. may request supporting documentation, prior rank history, instructor verification, photographs, written materials, video review, live testing, interview, or additional review before issuing any rank recognition or credential.
Retest / Resubmission Policy: Each test, review, or promotion request is treated as a separate attempt. If a candidate does not pass, is not approved, fails to appear, fails to complete required materials, or does not meet U.M.A.A. standards, no rank certificate will be issued. Any future retest, resubmission, or additional review requires a new applicable testing or review fee unless U.M.A.A. leadership approves a written exception.
Section 3: Instructor / Examiner Credential Review Fees
Instructor, examiner, and testing-board credentials are not automatic. Approval depends on rank standing, experience, character, instructional history, technical knowledge, leadership approval, and U.M.A.A. standards. Credential approval may be limited, conditional, suspended, denied, or revoked at the discretion of U.M.A.A. leadership.
Section 4: Replacement Credential Fees
Replacement credentials are issued only when records can be verified by U.M.A.A. Replacement documents do not alter the original date, rank, membership status, or approval history unless corrected by official U.M.A.A. administrative review.
Section 5: Association Service & Appearance Requests
U.M.A.A. may review public requests for qualified martial arts leadership, tournament judging, promotion board support, senior black belt sit-ins, seminars, demonstrations, youth programs, self-defense instruction, school consultation, community appearances, and other association-related services.
The Association Service Request Review Fee covers intake, administrative review, routing, and initial evaluation. It does not guarantee availability, approval, assignment, appointment, appearance, certification, event staffing, insurance coverage, or acceptance by any specific U.M.A.A. member or leader.
Qualified U.M.A.A. members, lifetime members, instructors, senior black belts, master-level members, and martial artists ranked 4th Degree Black Belt and above may be considered for referral, appointment, paid assignment, unpaid service, or appearance opportunities when their standing, experience, availability, location, and area of expertise align with the request.
No member, instructor, examiner, master, grandmaster, school, or outside party is authorized to represent U.M.A.A., conduct official U.M.A.A. testing, issue U.M.A.A. rank, collect U.M.A.A. fees, promise certification, or accept an official U.M.A.A. assignment unless approved in writing by U.M.A.A. leadership or through an authorized U.M.A.A. administrative process.
Submission of a service or appearance request does not create a contract, appointment, guarantee of performance, or guarantee of acceptance. U.M.A.A. reserves the right to approve, decline, route, modify, postpone, or cancel requests according to association standards, leadership review, event requirements, safety concerns, availability, and organizational priorities.
